ALISA GOIKHMAN

I am a PhD candidate at TU Berlin, researching the intersection of digital food culture, migration, and sustainability. Previously I worked on mobility justice at VW Future Center Europe, led the design of a graph-based navigation system for complexity at Filed 33, and worked independently and in collaboration with different agencies.
I was employed as a design researcher by the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities (ACDH), collaborated with the University of Salamanca, and was a fellow at the Interaction Lab at Holon Institute of Technology. I teach design for higher education in Germany and abroad.

RESEARCH THROUGH DESIGN

As part of the AMP project led by the University of Salamanca I contributed to the conceptualization and design of the Magic Lantern Research and exhibition. The project offers access and digital tools to explore the vast collection of laterna magica slides owned by the Salamance University. Users and exhibition visitors are invited to discover hidden narratives by clustering themes and genres. The app supplemented an on-site exhibition supporting navigation on multiple dimensions.
